THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Set in a row of grand Georgian mansions in a quiet suburb of Bath, it's only a short 20-minute walk through the park to the city's attractions and shops. The hotel has ample parking and is perfect for those driving to the city for a weekend break. A short walk away are the landscaped parklands of the Victorian botanical gardens and Royal Victoria Park.

By car: From London, the journey is 113 miles (2 hours and 40 minutes). From Bristol, the journey is 13 miles (40 minutes).

By train: London Paddington to Bath takes around an hour and 15 minutes. Bus Route 20 can be taken from the station to the hotel or you can take a 10-minute taxi. Book trains to Bath.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

The elegant Georgian architecture is filled with English country character, from the polished wood floors to the owners' art collection hanging in the drawing room. Cosy, luxurious rooms and suites are named after flowers alluding to the four-acre gardens with patios and lawns that are the hotel's noteworthy headliner.
