Hotel Review: Budock Vean, Cornwall
A peaceful hotel squirrelled away in 65 acres of lush gardens and woodland on the Helford River, close to Falmouth. With a golf course, spa, tennis and the South West Coast Path at the bottom of the garden, there is plenty to do. The excellent, fine dining restaurant is a bonus.

THE LOOK AND FEEL
This is a traditional country hotel through and through, with cosy sitting rooms, a conservatory overlooking the garden and great service. The main fine dining restaurant has a formal atmosphere thanks to its high ceilings, smart dress code and attentive service. The rest of the hotel is more relaxed.

THE FACILITIES
The glorious gardens, woodland, golf course, tennis court and spa mean there is plenty to do without even leaving the hotel. Guided kayak tours and boat trips leave from the bottom of the garden and are the perfect way to explore the river. Service is professional yet friendly and personalised.
