THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Located in the centre of Barnstaple, a former river port, the main town of North Devon and the UK's oldest borough; this hotel sits within easy reach of Exmoor National Park. It's just a stone's throw away from some of the most celebrated beaches of the North Devon coastline, including Woolacombe Sands, Saunton Sands and Westwood Ho! Beach, near Bideford.

By car: The Imperial Hotel is 1 hour from Exeter, 1 hour 50 mins from Bristol and 3 hours 45 mins from London. Free parking is available at the hotel.

By train: London Paddington to Barnstaple (via Exeter St. David's) takes around 4 hours. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the station. Book trains to Barnstaple.

By plane: Exeter airport (46 miles)
