THE LOOK AND FEEL

Centuries ago, the pub stretched right out into the bay, where playing cricket was a popular pastime, hence the name. Since it first opened in 1867 it's had strong seafood connections; today there are three skippers living in Beesands who are descendants of those original families, supplying fresh catch to the Cricket Inn. The décor stays true to its roots within the black and white paintings hung in the restaurant and bar. Light-filled and understated, a nautical thread runs throughout with a nod to the cricket heritage.

THE FACILITIES

Enjoy excellent food without the frills and friendly service. The affable owners are happy to advise on walks and day trips and happy to offer a little history of the area. Coast path maps are available to buy from reception, and there is plenty of parking right outside.
