THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

This is a great spot in which to base yourself; you've got the Red Funnel terminal across the road, the cruise ship terminals a little further along (about a ten-min walk) and all the shops and bars of the town are the same distance away. There's even an Ikea within walking distance. The Isle of Wight is a 40-minute ferry ride from outside the hotel, whilst The Mayflower Park is a five-minute walk away.

By car: The hotel is 2 hours from London and Bristol, 2 hours 30 mins from Birmingham and 3 hours from Cambridge. There is some paid parking on-site.

By train: London to Southampton Central takes 1 hour 20 mins. The hotel is a 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride from the station. Book trains to Southampton Central.
