THE LOOK AND FEEL

Didsbury House does boutique well, with memorable interiors that complement the age and style of the attractive Victorian villa. There's a gold wallpapered lounge with squishy velvet sofas and cricket-themed artwork, a striking landing area with parquet flooring and stained glass, and a travel theme throughout, from piles of vintage suitcases to guidebooks on shelves.

THE FACILITIES

There isn't a lift in the hotel, and your bag will be whisked to your room without you noticing, while staff at reception are keen to offer recommendations on nearby places to eat and drink. There's a treatment room where a small selection of beauty treatments and massages are on offer from an independent company, So Spa.
