The hotel's imposing red brick façade and Crittall windows give off a cool contemporary vibe which is carried through to the interior. The reception room as you enter has parquet flooring, comfortable leather upholstered chairs and a bar adorned with emerald-green scallop shaped tiles. There are exposed brick columns and sage green walls. The ambience throughout is modern meets stylish.
If you book a larger room then you'll have all the facilities you'll need for an ideally-located base to explore the city. If you prefer others to wait on you, then you'll find happy staff to give you tips on what to experience to maximise your stay as well as beverages and cakes for you to purchase.

Rooms are industrial meets comfortable - expect quirky geometric prints in frames, high ceilings, exposed brick juxtaposed with cool grey painted walls. Bathrooms are spacious with monochrome tiles and freestanding baths. The Grown Alchemist toiletries made having a wash a pleasure.

The restaurant was not open when we stayed, but you can purchase cakes and snacks and enjoy a delicious breakfast which will see you through until lunchtime.
