Hotel Review: Daisybank Cottage, New Forest
A delightful B&B in the heart of the New Forest, close to pretty Brockenhurst. Rooms have luxurious touches and plenty of character, breakfasts are locally sourced and delicious, and there are superb walks straight from the door. Children are made welcome, and the hosts couldn't be more obliging.

THE LOOK AND FEEL
Built in 1901, the house is in the Arts and Crafts style with high ceilings and large windows. It's thoughtfully decorated with the feel of a boutique hotel. Every piece of furniture and accessory has been carefully chosen, from the unbelievably comfortable beds to the cushions handmade locally from recycled material.
The attraction here is exploring the forest and getting close to nature, rather than on-site entertainment. Electric-car drivers will be pleased to know charging points are available. The owners, Cheryl and Ciaran Maher, are extremely welcoming and having lived in the house for over 30 years their local knowledge is invaluable.
