THE LOOK AND FEEL

Oozing with 18th century opulence, all the ground floor public rooms including the main restaurant and Grand Hall have been newly refurbished, with punchy Georgian colours setting off ostentatious chandeliers and ornate plasterwork. A hub for Norwich life, these rooms buzz with visitors and diners, while the bedrooms are tucked away and offer a quiet refuge from the city streets.

THE FACILITIES

The restaurant's front of house doubles up as reception, and access to all eleven bedrooms is via a short, outside walk from the main building to the bedroom wing, but helpful staff will help with luggage if required. The staff's love of the building is palpable, and many have worked at Assembly House for years.
