OUR REVIEW

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

A stroll through 50 acres of parkland and gardens is spoilt only by the busy M25 at the edge of the grounds, but thankfully it's far enough away not to disturb the tranquillity of the hotel. Egham town's shops and station are five minutes by taxi. Nearby are Royal Windsor with its boutiques, castle and Great Park, polo on Smith's Lawn in summer, and the Magna Carta memorial, which is at Runnymede on the River Thames.

By car: 1 hour from London, 1 hour 20 mins from Brighton and 2 hours from Birmingham and Bristol. There is free parking on-site.

By train: Egham is on a direct line from London Waterloo, the journey takes 40 minutes. The hotel is a three minute taxi ride from Egham station. Book trains to London.
