THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
It's easy to spot this large curved building on the west side of Place du Colonel Fabien in the 10th arrondissement. Colonel Fabien Métro station is close by while Gare de L'Est and Gare du Nord lie a 15-minute walk west. There are no parking facilities. This is a residential neighbourhood with shops and places to eat. Walk west to stroll beside Canal Saint-Martin or east to the green hills of Parc des Buttes Chaumont.
By plane: Flights from London or Manchester to Paris Charles De Gaulle take 1 hour 15 minutes and the hotel is a 40-minute drive. Book flights to Paris.
By train: Eurostar from London to Paris Gare du Nord takes 2 hours 20 minutes and the hotel is a 20-minute walk. Book trains to Paris.
THE LOOK AND FEEL
Bare yellow light bulbs proclaiming 'Generator' and a large white cow in the lobby set a light-hearted tone. Bedroom doors are painted with large numbers, which are handy if you've had a few. With various notices displaying rules, the mood is rather 'international student hall', and there's plenty of coming and going 24/7.

This is a popular hostel so expect to queue at reception or take advantage of online check-in kiosks. Lockers, a laundry room and an ATM are available. You can also hire bikes - note that check out is at 10am but you can pay extra to extend this.
