THE LOOK AND FEEL

Bare yellow light bulbs proclaiming 'Generator' and a large white cow in the lobby set a light-hearted tone. Bedroom doors are painted with large numbers, which are handy if you've had a few. With various notices displaying rules, the mood is rather 'international student hall', and there's plenty of coming and going 24/7.

THE FACILITIES

This is a popular hostel so expect to queue at reception or take advantage of online check-in kiosks. Lockers, a laundry room and an ATM are available. You can also hire bikes - note that check out is at 10am but you can pay extra to extend this.

You're not allowed to bring food and drink into your room, but snacks, pizza, beer and cocktails can be purchased on the ground floor of Café Fabien. This has a Métro station vibe with white-tiled walls and metal chairs. A basic breakfast is served here canteen-style.
