THE LOOK AND FEEL

Opened in 1926, this eight-storey block has a grown-up ambience with smartly-dressed staff, arty furniture and eye-catching floral displays. The hotel quickly feels like home and the restaurant attracts a well-to-do clientele from the neighbourhood. Interiors are restrained and immaculately presented, as are many of the guests.

THE FACILITIES

There's a prestigious Les Clefs d'Or concierge eager to help arrange sightseeing and book restaurant tables; housekeeping staff wear smart black-and-white uniforms. Treatments can be arranged in the room or taken at the nearby Hotel Bel Ami, which has a comprehensive Maison Flamel Spa plus a sauna and fitness centre.
