Hotel Review: Hotel Paradiso Cinema-Hotel, Paris
A hotel which is also a cinema? Sign us up! Owned by an independent French cinema chain, MK2, each room turns into its own little movie theatre thanks to a projector, screen, and a selection of hundreds of films from both an iPad and an extensive DVD library. There's also a real cinema in the basement, in case you'd rather see the latest releases.

THE LOOK AND FEEL
There's an industrial feel to the stairwells and corridors, featuring raw plaster and concrete, which contrasts with pops of Hermès orange, the brand's signature colour. The ground floor café features leather banquettes and chairs, with minimalist vases of dried flowers and grasses, and cinematic prints scattered around.
THE FACILITIES
Everything is geared to movies; you can watch outdoor screenings on the rooftop or borrow one of over 2,000 DVDs from their library. There is also a small private screening room for hire, which looks out onto the main cinema screen below, with its own bar.

BED AND BATH
Rooms vary in size but follow the same layout. Beds either face a wall (which has a screen already attached) or window (in front of which the screen will lower). Cute cinematic touches include the room service directory, designed to look like a script, and the Do Not Disturb signs, printed with lines from different movies.

Key amenities: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, in-room tablet, TV, free Wi-Fi
