OUR REVIEW
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Porto Heli, once a quiet fishing village, is discreetly located on the so-called Greek Riviera on the north-eastern Peloponnese Coast. Known as the Hamptons of Greece, its prominence began when shipping tycoons and foreign royalty installed huge hidden villas there along the coast. It's a three hour ferry from Athens or a pleasant - if twisty at times - 175km drive.
By plane: flights from London to Athens or Kalamata take less than 4 hours. A taxi will take 2 hours 45 minutes from the airport. Free parking available. Book flights to Athens or Kalamata.
THE LOOK AND FEEL
The luxury beach club vibe starts as soon as you enter, with chilled music playing from early to late. The décor is ultra-modern and swish and it's hard to believe this used to be a tired 1960s hotel. Much of the clientele are a young, quite glamorous crowd. The beach bar/restaurant has a laid-back feel, looking out to a sea of sunbeds. The rooftop restaurant is a bit more formal.

Service is generally good. The hotel has a private beach, pool (quite shallow), spa, fitness centre, and three eateries with bar areas.

FOOD AND DRINK
