THE LOOK AND FEEL

The atmosphere is calm and refined, yet informal and relaxed. The Italian-Finnish owners beautifully restored this former convent, which houses frescoes dating back to the 14th century. The owners' collection of antiques and works of art create a sophisticated feel, while vaulted ceilings and bare stone walls add a rustic touch.

THE FACILITIES

Finnish owner Jaana is often at reception to greet guests. Staff are extremely professional and attentive but not intrusive. The swimming pool is a delightful spot to unwind with a book and soak up some great views; there's a Finnish sauna too, along with a yoga studio where guests can take part in yoga lessons. There's a panoramic fitness trail, bikes are available for guests' use and massages can be organised on request.
