Your expert reviewer
If you want the Venetian experience you've seen in films and read about in books, then you can't beat this location right on the Grand Canal overlooking the church of Salute. Get a water taxi to the private jetty or take the vaporetto to Santa Maria del Giglio; the stop is a three minute walk away.
By plane: London to Venice takes 2 hours. Take an airport boat (1 hour 20 minutes) to St Mark's Square and it's a 10-minute walk. Book flights to Venice.
