THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Situated on the edge of the Llevant nature reserve, the hotel is surrounded by pine forest, meadow and sea. It's a ten-minute drive from the historic towns of Capdepera and Artá and just a couple of kilometres from the small seaside village of Canyamel and its beach. The bus station is less than a kilometre away. Palma and its airport are around an hour's drive. The prehistoric settlement, Ses Paisses, and no less than four golf courses are less than 15-minutes' drive.

By plane: there are direct flights from London (2 hours 25 mins), Manchester (2 hours 40 mins) and Edinburgh (3 hours). The hotel is about an hour's drive from Palma de Mallorca airport. Book flights to Palma.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

This hotel is a delight design-wise, from its attractive 12-acre gardens with inviting footpaths, artworks, immaculate lawns and groups of trees, to the sympathetically restored ancient buildings with simple, neutral décor, cosy corners and characterful original features such as log beams and terracotta tiles.

The rooms and suites are all individually designed and are within three historic buildings, 19th-century Can Simoneta, Can Nofre (which also contains the restaurant and bar) and the Beach House. The rooms are light and simply furnished, typically featuring terracotta floor tiles; some have terraces.
