Explore the west Pacific Coast on board a tall ship, and discover the biodiveristy of Central America's ports and islands

Discover beautiful destinations on board a splendid ship, as you sail on Star Clipper for an eight-night cruise of Central America's west coast.

You'll call at ports in Costa Rica and Panama, both known for their biodiversity, wonderful wildlife and lush landscapes. Discover Puntarenas, Quepos - which acts as a gateway to Manuel Antonio National Park - and Golfito in Costa Rica.

Cruising off the coast of Panama, Star Clipper will stop at two stunning islands - Coiba Island and Parida Island. Both are well known for their white-sand beaches, turquoise waters and coral reefs, with snorkelling and scuba diving popular pursuits. Arriving back in Costa Rica, there will be time to explore the paradisical Isla Tortuga, before returning to Puntarenas.

While on board, you'll have the unique opportunity of helping the crew sail, unfurl the sails, or even steer the ship, should you wish. With only 166 guests on board, Star Clipper is wonderfully relaxed and you could catch the sun and scenery from the deck, or take a dip in the plunge pool.

Traditional tall ship with 36,000 feet of billowing sails

The elegant Star Clipper was launched in 1992 and is a replica of the traditional clipper ships of the 19th-century, without sacrificing the modern comforts of today's luxury liners. With only 166 guests, life aboard is blissfully relaxed, much like travelling on a private yacht.

On board, the interiors hark back to the golden era, with plenty of polished mahogany and brass. In addition to the main dining room, there is also the Piano Bar, as well as the lively Tropical Bar, used for all manner of activities.
