Known for its gothic castles perched on mysterious mountains and historic medieval towns, explore captivating Transylvania and visit Dracula’s castle

In the heart of Romania, you'll find the Transylvania region, most famous for its Dracula connection, but you'll discover much more on this seven-night tour, beginning in Bucharest. You'll stay in the Lipscani district, in the beautiful old town before travelling north to Brasov.

Known for its medieval Saxon walls, there will be plenty of time to explore the city's sights, including the gothic Black Church, and you'll also enjoy a visit to the Neo-Renaissance Peles Castle. You'll then head to Transylvania's most famous castle - Bran Castle, often referred to as Dracula's Castle as it said to have inspired Bram Stoker.

You'll then travel into the Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by thick forest and home to Europe's largest bear population. You may also see lynx and wolves. Visit picturesque, rural towns including Sibiu, Sighișoara and Saxon village, Viscri. The Sighișoara fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the last inhabited fortress in Europe.

Journey back to Bucharest, and enjoy an overnight stay to get know more of this capital city before the tour comes to an end.
