    On arrival transfer to the famed wine region of Franschhoek, a French Huguenot village. After enjoying lunch in one of the village's many eateries (not included), spend the afternoon exploring the shops and boutiques of this picturesque settlement.     The first stop today will be a private guided walking tour of Franschhoek, visiting the Huguenot Memorial Museum and Huguenot Monument, followed by a wine and cheese-tasting at the Franschhoek Cellar. Originally the co-operative wine producer for a community of local grape farmers, today the Franschhoek Cellar operates as a private cellar delivering a fantastic range of single variety wines and annually producing 560,000 cases.

    The focus on wine continues with another tasting in the company of the knowledgeable team from the Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. Taste the signature White blend and Syrah, before a delectable afternoon tea served in the conservatory - with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.

    The morning will be spent exploring historic Stellenbosch, South Africa's oldest university town. Highlights include the Dutch Reform Church, the town hall, museum and numerous galleries and shops.

    A wine tasting on the Spier Wine Estate will be followed by a farm-to-table experience at the Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery, overseen by the acclaimed chef PJ Vadas, who has worked for Gordon Ramsay in both London and New York. The restaurant here overlooks the rolling lawns and ancient oaks of Spier's meticulously restored Werf.

    After a morning at leisure enjoy a private 'braai' session at the home of the TV Chef Mynie Steffens, who is renowned for outdoor cooking over fire, something she has been doing since she was 10 years old. Using the finest free-range, organic and ethically-farmed local ingredients, the five-course tasting menu will include treats such as roosterkoek (bread cooked on the fire), boerewors (South African beef sausage), ribeye steak, avocados and dessert - all cooked on the coals.

After taking the cable car trip up 1089 metres to the top, visitors can enjoy one of the hiking trails and explore the summit further or just soak up the commanding 360-degree views of Cape Town, Table Bay and the nearby peaks of the surrounding mountains.
